Alessio Brontesi, born in Verona in 1985, he began studying trombone when he was 8 years old. After graduating in 2005 at the Conservatory “E.F. dall’Abaco” of Verona with the valuation of 10/10 (his professor was Lorenzo Rigo), he joined the class of Prof. Abbie Conant at the “Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik” of Trossingen, where he graduated in July 2010 in “Künstlerisch-Ausbildung” (KA – artistic diploma) with the highest valuation (1) and in July 2012 in “Solistische-Ausbildung” (SO – soloist diploma). He has studied with several teachers like Rex Martin, Charlie Vernon, Michel Bequet, Massimo La Rosa, Gianluca Scipioni and Andrea Conti. Now he is attending the 1st year of the Windband Director Class of the ISEB (European Superior Windband Istitute). In 2007 he won the audition for the Italian Youth Orchestra, which has allowed him to attend the orchestral training course in Fiesole. He has been considered artistically suitable after the substitute trombone auditions at the Cagliari Lyric Theater (2007, 2009, 2010), at the “Fondazione Arena di Verona” Orchestra (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013), at the “Teatro alla Scala” of Milan (2008, 2010), at the Orchestra Haydn of Trento and Bolzano (2010, 2013), at the “Orchestra Regionale Toscana” (2010, 2015) and at “Teatro Regio” of Parma (2012). On 20th April, 2009 he auditioned for the Vacancy “2nd Trombone, Principal of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra” and he got the trial. He joined the Orchestra on 2nd October, 2009 for the Radio Concert “In Tune”. He has also collaborated with the “Teatro alla Scala” Orchestra, Scala Philarmonic Orchestra, “Fondazione Arena di Verona” Orchestra, “Teatro la Fenice” Orchestra, Fenice Philharmonic Orchestra, “Fondazione Petruzzelli di Bari “, the Cagliari Lyric Theater Orchestra, “Teatro Carlo Felice” Orchestra, the Haydn Orchestra of Trento and Bolzano, “Fondazione Arturo Toscanini” Orchestra, “Orchestra Regionale Toscana”, Padova and Veneto Orchestra, “Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana”, the Civic Wind Orchestra of Padova, the “Filarmonia Veneta”, the Chamber Ensemble of the “Teatro alla Scala” Academy, under directors like R.Muti, V.Gergiev, D.Barenboim, R.Chailly, A.Shokhakimov, N.Marriner, F.Luisi, G.Noseda, G.G.Rath, A.Nanut, T.Severini, D.Renzetti, G.Kuhn, A.Ceccato, P.Bellugi, L.C.Badia, L.Shambadal.
