Gianni Biocotino took very excellently his Diploma  at Milan Conservatorio under Glauco Cambursano and continued his specialised studies  with  M. Larrieu, Renate Greiss, T. Wye  and attended the special chamber music courses held by Giuseppe Garbarino at the music school of Fiesole.
For several years he played as a flutist with Garbarino Ensemble,and performed many concerts also as a solist  on behalf of primary music society (Nuova Consonanza Roma, Musica del Nostro Tempo Milano, Serate Musicali Milano, Unione Musicale Torino, Teatro Comunale Ferrara, G.O.G.Genova, Teatro Mediterraneo Napoli, Escuela de Canto Madrid).He frequently played as First Flute in the Orchestra “Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, RAI Orchestra Torino and Harmonia Ensemble.
Since 1991 he has held recitals with baritone Leo Nucci in the most important italian theaters (Teatro San Carlo Napoli,Opera di Roma, Comunale di Bologna, Carlo Felice Genova, Bellini Catania, Teatro Regio Parma,Teatro alla Scala Milano), and Herkulesshalle in Munchen,Metropol Theater in Bonn ,Opera in Lille , Salle Garnier in Montecarlo and Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile.
He is intensively active in the field of chamber music and he was classified at the first positions in the international competitions of Stresa, Martigny, Atkinsons “I Nuovi Milano, “C. Soliva “ Casale Monferrato, “F. Schubert” Moncalieri.
He recorded for important CD labels.
He is currently flute professor at Reggio Emilia Music Conservatory.
