Born in Cosenza in 1977, Lucio Prete studied Singing in Rome with I. Gentile, R. Abbondanza and M. Trombetta.
Winner of various international competition (L’ Opera Rinata  1700 repertoire, R. Leoncavallo -special prize as the best interpreter), his large repertoire ranges from the Baroque to contemporary music and also includes Messa in do min. by W. A. Mozart,  Messa in do mag. by L. Van  Beethoven, Cantata 140 by J. S. Bach, Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini, Messa in si min by J. S. Bach, Stabat Mater by G. Bononcini, Messia by G. F. Handel, Requiem by G. Fauré, Spatzen Messe by W. A. Mozart, Vespro della Beata Vergine by C. Monteverdi.
He sang under renowned conductors: Antonio Pappano, Alberto Veronesi, René Clemencic, Hans Winking, Walter Marzilli, Roberto Gabbiani, Pier Paolo Scattolin, Daniel Kawka.
